Infection Control Management Course
Course Aim
This course will cover the general principles of infection control management – from practical hand washing techniques to the decontamination of equipment and management of exposure to blood-borne viruses – emphasising key roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals as well as highlighting what can happen as a result of mis-management and poor practice. Who should apply? This programme will be of particular interest to healthcare professionals who have or may have in the future, clinical responsibility within their day-to-day role. This may include student nurses, already qualified nurses who need to update their knowledge and skill base due to the constant flow of information and forever emerging emerging evidence-based research, care workers in a supervisory capacity as well as nursing/care assistants who are, on occasion asked to support those in a clinical role in areas of medical management or work on (acute) infectious disease
