Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
This two day introductory programme aims to provide participants with an overview of CBT Principles and explore basic intervention methods. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is widely utilised with a broad range of psychosocial problems including: depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety & panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, phobias, schizophrenia, alcohol and substance use disorders. A substantial body of evidence exists which supports the use of CBT with these diverse and complex mental health presentations. Cognitive and Behavioural Treatments are among the most extensively evaluated of psycho-social interventions for alcohol and drug use. They have an impressive evidence base with addictive disorders with many studies placing them at the pinnacle of efficacious interventions. |
